Road trip on the motor bike

It's 5am on Friday morning and my last post before I done my alien regalia and hubby and I together with 7 others head off to Port Elizabeth, East London, Port St. John, Graaff Reinnet and Oudtshoorn on a 7 day trip. We are hoping to do a few day trips to places of interest along the way.

It's stopped raining for now but very wet. I am praying it will stay that way.

The first card I have made decorating the inside as well.  Another Magnolia image.

The card shape was cut out with the large nestie scallop courtesy of Amanda's play dates.

The middle was cut out with a plain nestie.

I have had this 'thing' for Magnolia images for a few weeks now.  I never liked them at first considering they have no nose and no mouth.... Well, they have kinda grown on me and now I just can't get enough of it.

I came across this circle-step card recently and decided to give it a try. 

This card was made for my friend Michelle that turned 'life begins at....' this weekend.  The sketch came from the Outlawz girls.

The image was coloured with Spectrum Noir that are now my absolute favourite alcohol marker.

Skin:  FS1, FS2, TN2 and cheeks that you can't really see, PP1
Yellow : CT1, CT3 and GB3
Green: CG1, CG2 and CG4

The hair.  hmmmmm, can't quite remember.

My busy few days

My paper crafting has been on a go slow these past few days.  I've been planning, shopping, cooking and baking all in preparation for my daughter's confirmation this past Sunday.  Thankfully that is all over and can go back to doing what I love most.

With us going on holiday for a week at the end of the month I have been frantically searching for a project to dem on world card making day bearing in mind that it's the day after we get back.  Ouch! 13 packs to prepare, swaps to finish, birthday cards to get out and all this while my work that pays the bills get in the way of it all.

I hope to at least post something crafty this week.

Oh, an hour before the confirmation lunch the confirmation cake was bare on the table and 15 minutes later, something that looked half decent. I will post a picture soon.
